June 1996 - Finally able to grasp and keep holding both sides of a normal walker.  Used as much as possible around house and short distances--like 40".  Fell a LOT.	August 1996 to March 1997 - taught 4 classes at local community college, until....
April 1997 - Broke right leg in 3 places.  Confined to bed 91 days, never getting up even once.  BORING!	Nurse came every day to clean wound.  Told afterward that could have lost leg.  Nice, huh.
August 1997 - pins OUT!   Now, 3 more months of home PT and 3 more of outpatient.Finally can get out of bed to wash hair!	August 1998 - Lost a LOT of strength and mobility.  Don't EVER break a bone!
